Assignment: Showcase pipe and piling yard, pipe fabrication and the team behind the day to day operations of the yard through photography and video.
Client: Bigfoot Pipe and Piling
Located in Puyallup, Washington, Bigfoot Pipe & Piling operates a 12-acre storage and fabrication yard. The company’s impressive inventory offers steel pipes ranging from 1/4 inch to 10 feet in diameter for projects in construction, marine applications and infrastructure.
The yard recently changed hands, and the parent company sought to get updated marketing photography and video of their new location. They wanted us to capture not only the yard’s daily operations and the team behind it, but also their playful side. Their manager, embracing the humor, suited up in a Bigfoot costume and, despite the summer heat, walked, climbed, and posed around the yard. I wish more companies would incorporate humor into their marketing efforts.
Established in 2019, following the acquisition of P.N. Best & Co. by International Pipe, Bigfoot Pipe & Piling became a prominent regional supplier of new, used, and surplus steel pipes and pilings. As a third-generation family-owned and operated business, International Pipe and its subsidiaries, including Bigfoot, supply steel pipe to dealers, end users, and contractors across the country.
Bigfoot’s fabrication services provide extensive order customization. Their facility is equipped with multiple welding lines and high-grade equipment. Services include beveling, splitting, cutting to length, welding, threading, cleaning, painting, lining, coating, wrapping, testing, straightening, sandblasting, and galvanizing. Because of their strategically located yards across the United States, International Pipe has access to one of the largest inventories of steel pipe in the nation.
