Anthony’s Restaurants photography

Spokane restaurant photographer

When Anthony’s Restaurants marketing reached out to me about creating a body of photography for 10 of their Puget Sound locations, I knew it was going to be an interesting project. The assignment covered locations in Bellingham, Everett, Des Moines, Bremerton, Tacoma, and Gig Harbor and the deliverables needed to work across their website, social media, and print materials without feeling disconnected from one place to the next.

Founded in 1971, Anthony’s is a collection of 29 family-owned waterfront restaurants that have been woven into Pacific Northwest dining culture for more than five decades. They operate their own seafood buying arm, Anthony’s Seafood Company, which sources directly from regional fishermen and suppliers. Several locations started as more casual HomePort concepts before being expanded over the years. That layered history matters because it shows up in their spaces.

As I photographed bars, dining rooms, patios, and private spaces at each location, I saw how deliberately the interiors were designed to frame the waterfront beyond them. They were built to put guests inside the waterfront experience. Pleasure boats, passing ferries, marina life: all of it was visible and intentional. I made sure to capture that experience. My goal was photographs that don’t just show Anthony’s restaurants, but reflect the five decades of regional identity behind them.
